I heard this track on the always influential Mary Anne Hobbs radio show saturday nite on Xfm and it completely got me bruking out big time!. The tune in mention is called 'Save Our Soul' by DJ Sunday Roast aka Matthew Page, forthcoming on a brand new label called WeRBassuk. Even as i woke sunday the damn tune was still reverberating in me head, a spiritual vocal heavy bass 4x4 monster with tinges of tribal percussion running thruout. Sure this gonna blow up! SOS is the 3rd track in on the preview below.

"Barbakan" Is in Colab with Mancunian producer xxxy ( remember him who gave us the sick Fela rework).In fact the whole LP is a collaboration with fellow forward thinking artists such as Hyetal, Geiom, Kowton, Gemmy & Guido. But here we get all wet & sticky with a tuff percussive, colour-soaked dance track for those lazy daze and drive thru's....Essential.

Tarantula

Doing the rounds on the underground last year and finally getting a release in March on the brand new Lightworks label outta LDN..An anthem to fill any dancefloors. Ossie drops live sounding african rhythmic percussion with such beautifully spacey synths to die for, from a young and very up and coming UK producer, lots more to come from this guy....So Lush!!.
He`s got a brand new "Set The Tone EP" out on Hyperdub and definitely go check out his FACT MIX.

Let Down..

Something we'll be dropping into a forthcoming mixtape a future UKfunky soul classic if you ask me..Recently dropped on Paul Rose's brilliant Hotflush imprint..George Fitzgerald has been compared to a few other London producers such as Joy Orbison, unfairly in my opinion and this lacks nothing in the quality department with syncopated upright bass and humid synths  'the let down' just keeps on giving' us warm melodies throughout....excellente!

Big tune dis!....The man MJ.Cole, the purveyor of exquisite late 9T's 2Step UK garage anthems comes correct with a new offering on his label Prolific...The 4 track 'Riddim EP' is a quartet of stripped-down tropical carnival party rhythms with the afro-latin influenced lead track 'Volcano Riddim', being the stand out tune for us with it's dark orchestral strings and synth stabs, a party tune for the last night of the proms. Apparently some of these tracks may appear later in the year with added vocal power....Heavy duty!
