last month South Cali imprint plugresearch dropped the debut LP by Oakland beatmaker Elephant & Castle aka David Reep. His project was formed with the idea of making modern music out of mostly vintage material and on 'Transitions' he meticulously crafts a multi-layered sound where dusty jazz riffs, tribal drum patterns, deep sub tones and reverb-soaked strings into a stimulating musical cocktail.
