#21 is "Action" that funked up the floors around '82, by Orange Krush who were Larry Smith (bass), Trevor Gale (drums) and Davy DMX (guitar / turntables). Best known for being the backing band for the seminal Run-DMC  albums "RUN-D.M.C." and "King Of Rock". Still Jack to this!!!

Film - Fantastic Man

 

'Fantastic Man' is a documentary investigating Nigerian musician William Onyeabor,  a man shrouded in mystery and myth. Directed by Jake Sumner (Alldayeveryday) the film tells the story of a label's attempt to track William down, speaking to fans such as Damon Albarn, Caribou and Femi Kuti and travelling to Nigeria to meet those who've worked with him in a bid to uncover the truth about his story.

George Benson Tribute

Another slice of smooth beatz & rhymes comes courtesy of New Zealand Producer/ DJ Amin Payne, who credits his influences as rooted in both the sample based hip-hop of the 90's and the synth based future funk / disco sound of the 80s.
