Had this on constant play all week off of LDN'sWestNorwoodCassetteLibrary Recordings 4th release. Canadian Jason Hopfner aka 'Knowing Looks' drops an interestingly quirky jazzy take on a UK garage leaning/UKfunky stylee tune that's just so right for now, groovy as f%@k...enjoy!

I normally don`t like reworkings of my favorite jazz/funk artist the legendary vibraphone player Roy Ayers...but "I am Your Mind" by Parisian DJ/producer/remixerPépéBradock is an exception. Here his recontexualisation of the original piece of music with his own special style of subtle tweaking of the electronic knobs brings a sparkling brew of rhythm that invokes feelings of swaying through fields of sunflowers listening to that spiritual voice in your mind harmonising together, wanting to be your friend, wanting to be free, just listen to me.
Lifted from his unique collection of his finest remixes from the past decade, PépéBradock`s "Confiote De Bits/A Remix Collection" on bbe is an essential dose of music to have in one`s record box...Njoy!
As we move into that falling leaves time of year (well for some of us anyway) and today being my beautiful wife`s birthday, this post is dedicated to her.
22 year young LDN based producer Sam Shepherd AKA Floating Points, has been causing quite a stir this year. (check out his new Vacuum EP) An accomplished classically trained pianist since the age of 16, his jazzy synthed out retake of the early 80`s classic by Real To Reel - Love Me Like This is 8 minutes of pure future cosmic boogie/house bliss....Released on the UK`s EgLO/ r2 Records back in February, this track gets me all warm and fuzzy inside, a bit like my other half...Enjoy!

The second choice porky prime cut this week and a second track from Connaisseur, is from Pol_On, called the "Omorp EP", on Outils Du Connaisseur. Pol_On are a project by Warsaw keyboard player DJ Mike P and Katowice Academy Of Jazz graduate and respected Jazz musician Kacper Bogacz. Their musical spectrum is present and wide, but always digs in and nods to the past. "After The Party" demonstrates Pol_On’s musical talent best. A smooth and timeless Jazzy House-cut with faultless live instrumentation. Once you hear the sax, it will stay in your head for ages…Double niceeee!!
